Walking
There is plenty to experience in the vicinity of the hotel. The characteristic village of Havelte alternates with tranquil nature reserves, a beautiful landscape shaped by ice and war. Here you will find burial mounds, dolmens, and deep bomb craters, among other things.
Golf
The beautiful 18-hole golf course of Golf Club Havelte is located in Southwest Drenthe, between the villages of Havelte and Uffelte. They use fixed tee times: if you indicate when you are arriving and wish to play, they can assist you as much as possible.
Misuse
In the Holtingerveld, there are dozens of kilometers of cycle paths, ranging from narrow shell paths to wide asphalt paths. There are already beautiful, relatively short routes that pass by the Hunebeds.

Mountain biking
The route is located in the vicinity of Havelte and crosses land belonging to, among others, the Ministry of Defence and Staatsbosbeheer. The route is 15.5 kilometers long. On weekends, an extra loop (6 kilometers) can be ridden.
Shopping
There is a nice, varied selection of shops in the area. For example, go to Meppel or Steenwijk, where you will be surprised by charming boutiques. A little further away is Zwolle, one of the larger Hanseatic cities, or take a look at Mijn Modewereld in de Wijk, the premier fashion store of the Northern Netherlands.
